NOODLE DOODLE: Savoring Taipan

They say eating noodles makes you live longer...
or maybe that's just a traditional pinoy belief.

Whether it's true or not,
i have found myself grabbing
this bowl of stir fried noodles
at least once a week.

I honestly am not sure.

I've never really been a noodle-person but when my colleagues brought me along one midnight after work, I started loving it.. and liking it a little more each time.

Below is a photo of a regular bowl of taipan noodle with siomai toppings:

For the sauce, you are given plenty of choices particularly oyster sauce, sweet and sour, chilli (which is really hot i must say), soy sauce, peanut paste, and of course their very own taipan sauce. It takes a while before you get the ratio of sauce that suits your taste but as for me and some friends, a little bit of everything works fine.

I still am not sure what makes it simply delectable.

Maybe the crunchy sprouts.

Maybe the taipan sauce.

Maybe the strong chilli taste.

Or maybe it's just the friendship that grows with every bite.

(Gleiza and Mai-mai satisfying their cravings. Hehe)

When you have a chance, do grab a bite. They have several stores but we always drop by the one alongside St. Francis.

Don't fail to bring a friend or two with you.
Remember, it may not be the noodles but the friendship. ;D

I invite everyone to watch tomorrow's episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled "Fat Lady".

The script was written by my good friend, Joan Habana
and another friend, Daisy Cayos, will be acting as the main character's teacher.

I really don't have an idea about the plot but I'm certain it's worth watching.

Don't forget to watch it tomorrow, January 24, 8pm @ ABS-CBN. Starring Frenchie Dy, Janus Del Prado, Vice Ganda, Arnold Reyes, Lito Pimentel, Saicy, Paw Diaz and many others. Directed by Mae Cruz, episode researched by Alex Martin.

Here are some shots taken during the shoot:

(Frenchie Dy, the main character)

(Daisy and Frenchie)

(Vice Ganda and Frenchie Dy)
(A portion of Daisy's lines)

It's true...

The hardest part in anything

Well, I really am not certain as to what to babble on my very first post. But then again there's this thing called "INSPIRATION". And I'd like to dedicate this entry to my dear friend (and former colleague), Anton, who recently celebrated his 28th birthday.

Here's a photo taken during Anton's birthday celebration with other friends:
from left: me, gleiza, anton, mai, daisy, cris, cyril)

At the same party, Anton iterated that i should start writing a blog. I recently bought a canon digicam and for him it's a step to being a blogger. Well, I haven't really seen things that way, but I guess there's really no better way to keep both pictures and memories together in one secure chronicle.

Like a 4th generation ipod,
I suddenly shifted to the next song at a shake.

Thanks Anton for fanning the flame of that blogger in me!

Cheers to a more entertaining pool of posts!!!
Cheers to 2009!!!
